Operating a bending machine

Job description:

Setting up the press brake:

• Adjusting the bending parameters according to the requirements of the production plan (bending angle, length, pressure).
• Selecting a suitable tool for a specific bend (e.g. matrix, bending tool).

• Setting up the preparation for automatic and manual machine modes.

  Operating the machine when bending sheets:

  • Loading sheets into the press brake and positioning them correctly according to requirements.
  • Setting the pressure and other machine parameters according to the type and thickness of the sheet.
  • Monitoring the bending process and making corrections if necessary.
  • Maintaining the quality of bent parts and compliance with tolerances.

  Checking and measuring finished parts:

  • Performing checks on geometric dimensions and bending quality.
  • Using measuring instruments to check angles, material thickness and bending accuracy.

  Maintenance and repair work:

  • Performing regular maintenance and cleaning of the bending machine.
  • Identifying and reporting technical defects and malfunctions.
  • Maintaining machines and tools in good technical condition.

• Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the working area.

• Checking the functionality and condition of the press brake before starting work (checking oiling, correct settings, safety features).

  Cooperation with other workers:

  • Cooperation with technicians, designers and other workers in production.
  • Supervising the correct use of materials and compliance with technological procedures.

  Safety rules:

  • Compliance with all safety regulations and rules when operating the machine.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, shoes, etc.
• This position is also suitable for graduates, however, experience in a similar position is an advantage.
